About

Jen will receive a BFA in Sculpture in the spring of 2022 from the University of Houston. She exhibited in three shows concurrently in 2021: Annex Energy at SITE Gallery, Houston; the UH School of Art Annual Student Exhibition in the Blaffer Art Museum; and her BFA Thesis Exhibition at Elgin Street Studios. She was published in Shards and Glass Mountain magazine in 2020. Her artwork was selected for the Bamsa Biannual Art show in 2020 and for the Blaffer Art Museum’s Red Block Bash in 2018. In 2017 she had her first solo show at Bohemeo’s. Though she is currently studying sculpture, Jen considers boundaries between the mediums to be irrelevant and enjoys expressing her mind and heart through photography, abstract painting, nature inspired metalwork, conceptual crochet, and more. Through this varied approach, she aims to find balance between the personal and universally relatable human experiences, as well as to spark in her viewers the same passion for deep emotions and thinking that she so values in her own life.
